Feeling the Joy - Learning from Happiness

Feeling The Joy!

cherylasmAs we are all playing our part in contributing to the collective conscious of the planet, I thought it would be suiting to write an article based on positive emotions and spiritual learning.

So I set out to find some reference materials on-line as how we derive just as much spiritual learning from our happy emotions, such as joy, as we do from our unpleasant emotions, such as sadness.

I searched high and low through the wild untamed jungle of the internet for my precious reference material. However, it became clear, quite quickly that there was no such material to be found. How could that be? I was stunned and shocked. But mostly I was saddened at the fact that the majority of our mass consciousness still lies within the belief that we learn most from our pain and sadness.

We often will say, “Well, I learned my lesson from that!”, when we experience unpleasant events, but how often do people stop and equate their learning with a burst of joyous laughter?

Our emotions serve many functions for us while we are here in human form. One of those functions is to energetically act as a seismograph (so to speak) to inform us of the effects of events and situations we are experiencing.

We, as a human race have become overly focused on the so called “negative” emotions we experience and have somehow attached or equated our “greatest learning” to those emotions. When we are experiencing emotional pain we will often stop and ask, “Why is this happening?” or “What am I learning from this?” It is also easier for most to recall the painful or sad experiences they have had in life. When asked about the happiest moments, many of us have to stop and search our internal database for the answer.

It is coming however, that the shift in consciousness in this world is calling us to move away from that negative based focus and is asking us to embrace a more balanced perspective. This also includes how we perceive our emotions and the lessons we are learning from them.

As an experiment, the next time you have a positive or joyous emotional experience, STOP! Ask yourself, “Why is this happening?” and “What am I learning from this?” If you do this often enough, you will begin to see how much you really do learn from all the wonderful and happy emotions too.

You may also find your perception changing from that of a negative base to a more balanced outlook on all your emotions. You may also find that recalling the fun and happy events will be easier and that they will be a more clearly defined piece of your “inner reference material”.

As an added bonus, the more you shift your attention toward these positive emotions and the tremendous amount of learning to be found in your joy and pleasure, you will be calling more of it into your life. (Manifesting 101)

So delve in! Experience the joy and live to your highest potential!

A Little Truth...

When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly. - Barbara J. Winter

According to the laws of aerodynamics, the bumblebee can't fly either, but the bumblebee doesn't know anything about the laws of aerodynamics, so it goes ahead and flies anyway. - Igor Sikorsky
